Private Events
The Pelican is a lot more than just a bit of olde England – it’s a superb venue for weddings, meetings, banquets, Sunday brunch or just a place to relax and chew the fat.
Celebrations
For your special occasion, by request, feasts lasting the day or evening awaits. Firelight flickering on the rough-hewn beams. A dinner bell signals the commencement of feasting and merrymaking. Remove after remove in the Pelican Inn manner-wise, ale, music and good cheer—create a feeling spent in another time and another way.
Take a look at a recent comment from a bride:
Andrea!! Wow! We are still absolutely basking in the joy of Saturday – we are so thrilled with Pelican Inn and your amazing hospitality. It truly could not have been more perfect and magical. Thank you for accommodating our many requests and preferences including the buffet, the odd start time, the big band, the various vendor delivery times, all the last minute changes, and so much more. Our family made so many comments about how fantastic everyone at the Inn was with random asks and questions – truly the best. And the food was FANTASTIC! Everyone loved both the sit down dinner and the buffet. My mom tried both and was blown away by every single dish. Cake cutting, schedule, everything flowed perfectly. The bonfire also worked great too – we even played some quiet music and seemed like no issues! We will be celebrating many anniversaries there in the years to come, and it has such a special place in our hearts forever now. Thank you again for all your hard work! If there’s anything we can do to support you all, please let us know! I’ll make sure to leave reviews on Yelp and Google as well. ❤️❤️❤️
So much gratitude!

Weddings
The Pelican is a perfect place for an intimate wedding.
Parties typically rent out the inn’s seven rooms and use the inn’s restaurant and/or conservatory for a reception or dinner.
The conservatory’s glassed-in space, with abundant vines and flowers, is lit by candles and soft lights. As festivities proceed, celebrants often push the tables aside to make room for dancing.
Ceremonies are usually held on the inn’s great outdoor lawn, with its view across the way of horses and a rustic barn, or in the Snug Room, a comfy private space just past the bar that’s chock-a-block with stuffed chairs, bookcases and a fireplace. It’s a favorite site for rainy day weddings or for use as a pre-wedding reception area.
Sometimes people exchange vows at the nearby Muir Beach overlook, a short drive away.
We will design your wedding from beginning to end with you.

Small Gatherings
In the wider sense of the word, the Snug room of a 16th century hostelry is a cozy Pub parlor room replete with comfy wing back chairs, overstuffed sofa, antiques and crackling fireplace. In this spirit, the Pelican Snug is just that.
